Save the Children Funds Regional Seminar for Child Care Resource and  Referral Agencies

NOV. 2, 2006 | The Mississippi State University Early Childhood Institute held a regional seminar for child care resource and referral agencies last month, thanks to support from Save the Children.

The Oct. 17-19 seminar emphasized emergency preparedness measures that resource and referral agencies (R&Rs) can take. It also covered other aspects of R&R operation. Paula Bendl-Smith and Paige Ellison-Smith of the National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies facilitated the seminar in Biloxi, Miss.

Representatives of R&Rs in Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi attended the seminar at the Mississippi State University Extension Service Coastal Research and Development Center. They will meet a second time in early 2007 to share their progress in emergency planning.
