Monica F. May, M.S.

Monica F. May, M.S., is a child care technical assistant in north Mississippi, working on the Leaders in Literacy initiative of the MSU Early Childhood Institute.

Ms. May joined the institute in 2006, after working as director of weekday education at First Baptist Church in Oxford, Mississippi, and as a Child Development Associate facilitator in North Mississippi. Before moving to Oxford in 2004, Ms. May managed a child care resource and referral agency in Jacksonville, Florida. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in family and consumer sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi. 

Ms. May lives in Oxford, Mississippi, with her husband, Scott and daughter Maggie.
