Tina Sweeten is the Project Director for the Mississippi Early Literacy Corps. She has been with the institute since 2006. Sweeten holds the Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology from Western Washington University, the Master of Arts degree in nonprofit management from Hamline University, and has done doctoral work in organizational psychology at Capella University.

Ms. Sweeten has worked in the nonprofit field since 1992 and holds a professional certification in volunteer management. She lives in Starkville with her partner Kari and their eight pets.
