Ask Dr. Darling
Q.
Dear Dr. Darling: I
don’t have all of the books that are in the curriculum, and my

Q. Dear Dr. Darling: I have
tried to set up my classroom with learning centers, but I don’t
have enough space for each center. What should I do?
– A family
child care provider.

Q. Dear Dr. Darling:
I am
currently teaching a class of older babies and younger toddlers
and need some tips on working with them. How can I increase
their attention span and help them learn to sit in their seats
for more than 3 minutes?
– A Mississippi early childhood teacher
A.
Dear Early Childhood Teacher:

bodies and explore their surroundings, and they
cannot do that by sitting still.

Q. Dear Dr. Darling:
Do you have a CD with all of the curriculum that
you can buy?
– An early childhood teacher
A.
Dear Early Childhood Teacher:
The
Mississippi State University Early Childhood
Institute has provided a free copy of the
two-volume curriculum, by mail, to each licensed
child care facility in the state. We are unable
to provide CDs for purchase, but the curriculum
files are available online and can be saved to
your computer for later use.
